Press Release: Lakewood Brewing Co. Announces 2017

Lakewood Brewing Company Announces Much Anticipated 2017 Craft Beer Releases
Dallas, TX: Lakewood Brewing Company has been ‘brewing up’ a great lineup of 2017 releases. Customers across North Texas and other regions can look forward to these upcoming craft beers in LBC’s 5th year of brewing customer favorites.
“We took 2016 to look at what was working and what needed to be tweaked. We’ve been hard at work preparing for this all year and we’re excited to announce our 2017 releases,” stated Wim Bens, Founder & President of Lakewood Brewing Company.
Goatman Imperial India Black Lager makes its triumphant return in early spring in 4-pack bottles. This 9.3% ABV brew originally made its debut as the third release in LBC’s Legendary Series, one of its most popular…and is the first to be brought back. Dry hopped with copious amounts of Simcoe, this dank, roasty, malty beer is described as a ‘hybrid between a German Schwarzbier and an Imperial Cascadian Black IPA.’
The Seduction Series will be moving from 22oz bottles to its new packaging in 4-pack bottles. In addition to introducing a fifth variation to the Seduction Series lineup later in the year, LBC will also be barrel-aging a portion of all the Seduction Series as very limited, draft-only releases throughout the year.
Red Wine Till & Toil, a fan favorite, will be in limited release, 22oz. bottles for the first time. Artsy Tartsy, LBC’s fruited Berliner Weisse, will make a return this summer as a refreshing draft only release, while Zomer Pils will now be sold exclusively in cans and dry-hopped with a combo of Lemondrop, Sterling, and Saaz hops.
“We keep listening to our fans and our brew crew keeps innovating delicious new beers,” Wim emphasized. “I’m very excited to share these with craft beer fans across the state.”

Feel the Love with Raspberry Temptress

Keep an eye out for our new Revival-style Raspberry Temptress glass!

Keep an eye out for these new Revival pint glasses at a bar near you! Check our calendar for upcoming events.

February is for lovers, and we here at Lakewood love our beer… Each and every batch means something special to all of us. Were you to ask around, though, there’s one particular beer that stands apart from all our others—our one brew love, as it were. We call her The Temptress… and there’s no Temptress that steals our heart quite like Raspberry Temptress.
What makes Raspberry Temptress so enticing? We take the already alluring Temptress milk stout and set her up with nearly a ton of fresh Oregon raspberry purée to really get her juices flowing. This lovely lady spends a small honeymoon conditioning and really getting to know her raspberry beau before we send her off to kegs and 22oz. bottles, where she makes her way to store shelves and taps to help spread the love.
Sadly, Raspberry Temptress isn’t a relationship built to last, as this Seduction Series release is only around for a limited time. Look for her all over DFW, Amarillo, Abilene, Wichita Falls, and surrounding areas. The hottest passions fade first, so get your hands on her now before she leaves you wondering what could have been.

Start the year in mint condition

We’re happy to announce that our brand new Seduction Series release, Sin Mint Temptress, is out now on area DFW bar and restaurant taps! The fourth release in this series pays homage to a little guilty pleasure in the form of a very popular cookie. This exhilirating offering infuses mint, vanilla, and a touch of graham cracker into our decadent imperial milk stout post-fermentation, creating a fresh, cooling treat that will leave you craving more. Harmony never tasted so good.

Keep your eyes out for her at your favorite drinking spot or growler station. Schol!

2014 Bourbon Barrel Temptress Out Now!

We’re happy to announce that starting today, you can find our limited release 2014 Bourbon Barrel Temptress (BBT) on North Texas area store shelves and taps! We take our popular imperial milk stout and age it in freshly emptied oak bourbon barrels for almost 6 months, imparting luscious notes of vanilla, oak, toffee, caramel, and roasted coffee. This barrel-aged beauty is back only for a short time in 22 ounce bottles and draft – just in time for the holidays. Drink this dangerously smooth treat now or let it age. Either way the reward will be worth it. 9.8% alc/vol

September 4th (today) marks the exact midway point to Mardi Gras, so naturally we’re honoring the occasion by reprising the most requested cask in our “Seduction Series” by releasing a special limited edition batch of French Quarter Temptress.
Capturing the spirit and attitude of New Orleans, this beer possesses the boldness of barrel-aged coffee and chicory within the incredibly smooth 9.1 percent ABV Imperial Milk Stout. Using a process unique to coffee roasting, we partnered with Kevin and Marta Sprague at Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters in East Dallas to create the perfect combination.
We barrel-aged coffee beans, coining it Operation B.R.E.W. (Beans Resting, Enhanced by Whiskey.) Using one of our spent Bourbon Barrel Temptress barrels, Noble Coyote aged green Peruvian Cajamarca coffee beans for four months, which imparted subtle notes of bourbon to the beans. Once the beans were ready, Noble Coyote roasted the coffee and we added it to the beer along with a touch of chicory for some additional spiciness and complexity to give it that “signature” New Orleans taste.
As purveyors of a different kind of craft ‘brew’, we really respect Noble Coyote’s utilization of Fair Trade coffee and their passion for small-batch, artisan coffee roasting. It was the perfect choice for our French Quarter Temptress.   We hope you enjoy drinking this beer as much as we do. Now grab some beads, a beignet, and lets raise a glass together.
