Brewing Good: nonPareil Institute

Here at Lakewood, we believe in community, being good neighbors, and supporting those who support us. It’s why we host our own weekly charity events that we’ve deemed Brewing Good. $1 from every pint sold in our Taproom during our Brewing Good Sundays will benefit a charitable organization, some national and some in the local Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
For the month of April, we’re doing our part to supporting adults with autism. Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication, as well as by unique strengths and differences in cognition. Every week this month, we’ll be donating $1 from each pint sold to the nonPareil Institute, a Plano-area nonprofit dedicated to building better futures for adults with autism through technical, vocational and social training.
So come out, have a pint, and know you’re brewing a little good yourself.

Brewing Good: Erica’s Recovery Fund

The holidays are a time for families to come together, and that’s especially true this year. A few months ago, a member of our LBC family was diagnosed with cancer, which has since become more aggressive in nature. Not one to back down from a fight, she’s been courageously fighting the disease with incomparable strength and fortitude, and we want to do our part in helping her with this battle.
Our Brewing Good Sundays have supported local and national non-profits, but for the next few months we’ve decided to look after one of our own. Over the course of December, January, and February, $1 of each pint sold in our Taproom on both Sundays (12pm-6pm) and Mondays (3pm-9pm) will directly assist her and help offset the impact it bears.
We’ve always been proud of the overwhelming support our neighbors show when in time of need. Every sip you take helps us keep that spirit of goodwill and compassion going strong.
If interested in donating to her recovery directly, her Venmo is: @EricasRecoveryFund or https://venmo.com/EricasRecoveryFund
